This "Behind the panels" blog shows 6 Cooling system manifolds on two panels.
A solution for a centralized measurement and control of the water quality from 6 cooling systems. A bypass from the circulation line is brought to the panel.
1 Panel has 2 sample manifolds and a XS controller. The other panel has 4 sample manifolds and a MT controller.
Each sample manifold includes the conductivity sensor, a sample valve and a flow switch.

Functions of the controller in this application:
Measure the conductivity and control a motorized blowdown valve
A biocide timer program activates a dosing pump to inject biocide in the system
Pulse water meters on the incoming and blowdown water line are connected to the controller to log the water consumption and calculate the evaporation.
An inhibitor program activates a dosing pump to inject inhibitor in the system, based on the incoming water flow rate
Both the inhibitor and biocide programs have a bleed lockout or pré-bleed function in order to prevent to bleed away freshly added chemicals right after injection
The flow switch interlocks dosing or bleeding actions when the system is not running
All measurements and relay actions are logged and visible on the controller, online or through download
MT Controller screen The whole system is visible online on the free WebAdvantage platform
